Think Of This

That better be your mom on the phone. Chapel Hill, N.C., just became the first U.S. town to ban cellphones while driving (even hands-free) — unless the person you’re talking to happens to be a family member.

“Basically what this ordinance says to me is that it’s not safe to drive and talk on a cellphone, but it’s safe if you’re talking to a family member,” said council member Laurin Easthom, who voted against the measure.
“I just think that’s ridiculous. How do police know if you’re talking to a family member? Are they going to take your phone from you? There’s a lot of things people do in cars that they shouldn’t do, but we can’t legislate on all of it.”

Thanksgiving goes gourmet with high-end turkeys: More families are shunning the traditional frozen bird for free-range fowl or heirloom breeds that carry a higher price tag.

Exactly this.

SERIOUSLY.

Figures.
Can we just get rid of them all please? Of course, that requires people to register and vote, but oh wait, the GOP is making THAT more difficult to do too!

not only that, but put term limits on Congress and Supreme Court.  That way we won’t have lifers that have been completely bought.

STEVE JOBS’ | 2005 Stanford Commencement Address

Part of the speech:

Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward,

you can only connect them looking backwards.

So, you have to trust that the dots are somehow connecting your future.

you have to trust in something,

Your gut, destiny, life, karma… Whatever.

Because believing that the dots will connect down the road

will give you the confidence to follow your heart

even when it lead you off the well worn path,

and that will make all the difference.

(…)

The only way to do great work is to love what you do.

If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking and DON’T settle.

(…)

Your time is limited.

So, don’t waste it living someone else’s life.

Don’t be trapped by dogma,

which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.

Don’t let the sound of others opinions drown your inner voice

AND, MOST IMPORTANT:

have the courage to follow your heart and intuition,

they somehow already know what you truly want to become.

Everything else it’s secondary.

(…)

Stay hungry, stay foolish.
